DOOM 2016 was a love-letter to the original, DOOM Eternal is that love-letter now turned product. Deadlines are now imperative and shitting out anything to meet them the way to go. If you are paying attention to the games you'll see how Eternal feels a lot more like a modern game, while DOOM 2016 was a breath of fresh air. The signs are all there that the suits took a hold of DOOM and are going to drag it down with them. The whole OST debacle is just the most noticeable example of that but the games themselves are telling that same story.

What are you smoking? The OST debacle is purely Micks fault because he unnecessarily tried to throw id under the bus for his own short comings. If he simply told people he need more time and was honest initially none of this bullshit would have happened. Its not the end of the world to miss deadlines it happens all the time especially in creative field of music or games. The problem was his behavior. Now your point about id turning into corporates shills or something makes no sense. Eternal was actually delayed by 5 months. It was suppose to come out on Nov, 22, 2019 but was delayed to March, 22, 2020. So if corporate suits are controlling them and ruining id why did they miss Q4 release which is the best time to release game instead of March release? Sure it ended up working due to Covid 19 pandemic but nobody knew people in a year would be lockdown at home. Also Eternal feels nothing like most modern shooters or games so I have no clue what are talking about. I am pretty Quake, Metroid and Devil May Cry are not what I think of as modern games.
